The charm of Gozo hits you from the very moment you step foot off the 20 minute ferry journey from Malta.
Greener, more rural and with a long tradition of warm hospitality Gozo moves at a more leisurely rhythm, hence the endearing nickname “the island where time stood still”.
Our sister island is steeped in myth and according to legend this was the home of the nymph Calypso who held the Greek hero Odysseus as her companion for seven years. Today visitors to the island willingly surrender themselves to Calypso’s charms as they gaze over this mysterious island of love.
17th Century Farmhouse Restaurant
This unique restaurant is situated in a 600 year old farmhouse, surrounded by the beautiful Gozitan countryside overlooking the valley of Marsalforn.
Once you enter the courtyard through stone-arched gateways you are in the herb garden with Mediterranean scents of mint, basil, lavender which mingle with those of the climbing roses. The walls are adorned with original works of art by local artists and a collection of traditional Maltese clocks. Décor is a beautiful fusion of traditional and modern – the older part of the farmhouse and the animal’s mangers are still visible.
The sumptuous Wine Cellar or the restored Executive Dining Room makes perfect indoor wedding venues. The Garden however will surely be one of the best outside locations, surrounded by exceptional country views, ideal for a summer reception.
